About the Show

A treasure hunt for what matters most.

In the tiny town of Magnolia, grumpy real estate developer Jimbo Greads plans to buy the old shops, tear them down and replace them with shopping centers and parking garages.

Olly and May Bell refuse to sell The Treasure Box, their special thrift store where every item carries a story. When Jimbo sends Freddy and Teddy to spy on the shop, his assistants begin to question his plan.

The Spy Angels launch a clever hoax to save The Treasure Box, protect Magnolia and help Jimbo discover the missing truth behind his grandfather’s favorite Scripture. In the end, Jimbo is bamboozled straight into a change of heart.

Full Synopsis

There is a grumpy, greedy real estate developer named Mr. Jimbo Greads. He wants to buy up all the old shops in the tiny town of Magnolia so he can tear them down and build shopping centers and parking garages. Things have been a little tight financially in the town of Magnolia so many of the shop owners have agreed to sell to Mr. Greads. He told them he would keep the town exactly as is and only add to its charm, preserving the history and honoring the past, but it's a total sham.

Mr. Greads tries to live by the words inscribed on an old clock which belonged to his granddaddy, Charlie Greads. Mr. Greads believes those words are the secret to his success. But a part of those words is missing so Mr. Greads lives by the words that are left, "Lay up for yourselves treasure..." He believes owning things and having power & money are most important and he will stop at nothing to get what he wants.

Mr. Greads has 2 assistants, Freddy and Teddy, who follow his every command and are secretly afraid of him. They both have a good heart.

Olly and May Bell are the owners of a small thrift store in town called The Treasure Box. They have refused to sell to Mr. Greads. They've been in their location for decades and believe their shop has something "extra-special" — a blessing from above, where people can come and find items that mean more than what they seem to be. The Treasure Box shop is filled with stories about each item being sold — where it came from, who the owner was, and what each item represents. There is a special room in The Treasure Box, a story telling room, where patrons go to hear the stories of their items.

Mr. Greads' assistants, Freddy & Teddy, are sent to spy on Olly and May Bell, trying to figure out a way to get them to sell. But something happens through the process of watching customers and hearing stories — Freddy & Teddy realize they shouldn't be a part of buying and tearing down this very special shop, and they are beginning to question Mr. Greads' plan for the town of Magnolia.

The Spy Angels spring into action with the perfect hoax to save the Treasure Box, the town of Magnolia, and Mr. Greads' heart. When Freddy and Teddy report back to Mr. Greads, the hoodwink begins to take shape. Mr. Greads heads down to The Treasure Box to confront Olly and May Bell but he is in for a huge surprise!

It ends up being Mr. Greads who gets bamboozled...right into discovering his grandfather's true secret to success and his heart melting on the spot!
