CREATIVE MUSIC COLLABORATION

Bring Pamela into the music.

Songwriting. Piano. Vocals. Arranging. Musical-theatre development.

Sometimes a song needs a melody. Sometimes it needs harmonies, a piano part, a voice, an arrangement—or simply another creative person in the room who can hear what's missing.

TELL PAMELA ABOUT YOUR PROJECT

Bring the song you have—even if it isn't finished yet.

Finished lyrics that need music · Music that needs lyrics · A partial song · An idea that needs developing · A recording that needs piano or keyboard · A song that needs harmonies or vocal arranging · A musical-theatre project that needs demos or musical development · A project that simply needs another set of musical ears

You don't need to arrive knowing exactly which service you need. Bring the music, the idea or the question, and you and Pamela can explore where her strengths could help.

PIANO & KEYBOARD

Pamela can play piano/keyboard on recordings, develop an original piano part, work from charts, play by ear, accompany a vocalist, and work in another producer's or artist's studio.

SONGWRITING & CO-WRITING

Clients can bring lyrics needing music, music needing lyrics, a partial song, or simply an idea. Pamela can write or collaborate depending on the needs of the project.

VOCALS — PROJECT DEPENDENT

Pamela may provide lead, background, harmony, character or demo vocals when her vocal style and range are a good fit for the material.

VOCAL ARRANGING

Pamela can create harmony parts, background-vocal arrangements, vocal stacks and ensemble/musical-theatre vocal arrangements.

Professional notation/sheet-music preparation may also be available as an additional service.

DEMOS & MUSICAL DEVELOPMENT

Pamela can help turn a song or musical-theatre idea into a usable musical presentation—from piano/vocal demos and arrangement development to musical-theatre demo/recording development.

She may collaborate with other musicians, producers and audio professionals as appropriate to the project.

THE CREATIVE CHEMISTRY MATTERS

A collaborator who brings ideas—and leaves room for yours.

Pamela hears harmonies quickly and shares ideas freely, often finding the missing musical “zest” that can lift a song. She works quickly, takes direction well and leaves room for an idea to change when something better emerges.

She isn't overly attached to her own ideas. When she strongly believes an idea makes the music better, she's willing to advocate for it and explore it with you.

It began with a piano part.

Before Pamela and Sarah Farra became co-writers, Sarah originally hired Pamela simply as a studio musician to accompany her. Pamela came into the project as the pianist/accompanist. Their creative relationship developed later.

Sometimes joining a project means bringing your musicianship—not being the writer, producer or person in charge.

When the project is bigger than one song.

Musical-theatre writers and creators can bring Pamela into a developing score or recording to help the music take shape.

  • Compose music for existing lyrics or scripts
  • Collaborate on songs
  • Play piano/keyboard
  • Develop vocal arrangements
  • Help create piano/vocal demos
  • Contribute appropriate demo/character vocals when her range and style fit
  • Develop rehearsal materials or musical ideas
  • Provide another experienced musical-theatre perspective during development

Creative connection doesn't require the same room.

Songwriting, arranging, musical development and other creative work can often happen remotely. Pamela can also work onsite or in another studio when appropriate.

The right music. The right fit.

Pamela works with material that aligns with her creative and personal standards and takes on projects where her particular musical strengths are a good fit.

Scope, fees, credits and any applicable writing/ownership arrangements are determined according to the individual project before work begins.

LET'S MAKE SOME MUSIC

What are you working on?

Bring the finished song, the unfinished song, the musical, the lyrics, the melody—or the idea you can't quite get out of your head. Tell Pamela what you're creating and where you think another musician could help.
